2017 K&K (by Bee) 3H Slant GN Stock Combo –
Versatile, Easy to Handle and Affordable!

As we said in the teaser, we just took this late model Bee K&K 3H stock combo in trade. It offers the affordability of a steel trailer with the corrosion protection offered by galvannealed steel walls. As we understand it, to create a galvannealed panel, steel is dipped in molten zinc (similar to how metals are galvanized) and then the panel is annealed (heat treated) to create a zinc-iron alloy, bonding the zinc to the steel. The walls on this trailer are painted a bright and inviting white, but several years ago, we had a trailer with unpainted galvanneal panels. We saw that trailer after it had been out in the weather for at least a couple of years and there was no rust on those unpainted panels. We were impressed.

By our tape, body height is 7’ (maybe an inch or two taller; it was breezy and a measurement assistant wasn’t available at the time…), body width is 6’ and floor length is 15 feet.   We measure offsets of about 40” on the first two stalls and a little less on the third stall.   The stalls are nicely sized for small to medium-sized horses, yet the 15’ floor length offers great maneuverability.   There’s a rear gate for step-up loading.   The livestock-type air gaps offer great natural light and ventilation.  (You may have noticed that we’re showing some views twice; once with bare floor and once with a black floor.  The trailer came in with the mats removed.   We took the pictures with the floors still bare.  We painted in the mats [with the picture editor, not a paint brush!] to let shoppers know the trailer will be sold with brand new floor mats.)

The dressing room has 3 saddle racks and several bridle hooks. We measure 1’ short wall and 5’ long wall and the wall swings out so you can open up the interior to haul a load of hay, a small tractor or other cargoes.

In the DR, there’s a window on each side of the gooseneck for light and ventilation and there’s a step and handle conveniently located to assist getting up into the upper gooseneck area. The DR door has a lockable stainless latch and there’s even an Aluminum Tread Plate covering on the running board at the DR entrance. There’s a light in the horse area and another in the DR. Even though K&K is Bee’s value-oriented line, this trailer has many thoughtful touches.

Since this is a 2017, tires, floor, lights, frame and all the other things you’d normally need to check closely on a used trailer are functionally in near new condition. There are brakes on all 4 wheels. Under the gooseneck, you’ll find a spare tire and stone guard. As we type this, it hasn’t been sent through inspection, but it will have passed Maryland state inspection before the lucky new owner takes possession. When the weather warms up, nice used trailers like this one start selling fast. If you’re in the market, this versatile and affordable trailer is worth a look! Asking $6800.
