1995 Jamco 6H Slant – Jamco Quality at a Great Price

As we said in the teaser, this Jamco 6H slant came in for us to display as a private sale.  Unlike the more traditional skin-over-frame construction, Jamco trailers feature walls of stacked & interlocking aluminum tubes.  We compare the Jamco wall construction to how they stack logs to build a kit log house.  It makes for a very robust and quiet trailer and Jamcos are assembled with the care you'd expect of a premium brand.

This one's a 6H slant with dressing room and well-equipped rear tack.  (Please note, it's not a collapsible rear tack.)  At the front stall, there's an escape door with window.   At stalls 2 through 6, there's a drop feed window.   There's a 2-way vent over each stall and a slider window at each stall on the butt wall.  The stall dividers are padded and equipped with fast-action latches (no need to fumble with a pin!).

By our tape, body width is 7 feet, body height is a touch over 7 feet and floor length is 29 feet.   We measure a stall offset of 42 inches, so they're a couple inches wider than you'll find on many slants.   Dressing room dimensions are 45" on the short wall and about 92" on the long wall.  In case you don't want to do the math, that DR is just a few inches shy of being 4' on the short wall and 8' on the long wall.

This trailer has torsion axles and optional Alcoa aluminum wheels.   There's a running board on each side for convenient access to the drop feeds and windows.  There's a battery box with deep cycle battery, which is a nice touch, although the battery will likely need to be replaced.

Jamco is a low-volume producer and used Jamcos don't often come on the market.   A new version of this trailer would price out around $60,000, so if you're looking for a high quality 6H trailer and are on a tight budget, this Jamco is worth a look!   Private Sale on display at Traveled Lane.  Asking $13,400.
