2008 Shadow 717 Pro Series 3H Slant BP – 7’6” Tall & Well-Equipped!

This very nice Shadow 3H Pro Series slant came in recently for us to show as a private sale. The Pro Series is well equipped in standard form, and this one has several very appealing options, not least of which is 7'6" body height.

There are the customary drop feed windows on the head wall, as well as an escape door (with its own drop feed window) at the first stall. On the butt wall, there's a pair of long (19" x 53") slider windows that also drop down. When it’s cold or rainy, leave the windows up. When it's hot, lower the windows to provide natural light and ventilation almost equal to that of a stock trailer. This trailer offers the best of both worlds! In addition, there's a 2-way vent over each stall. On this Pro Series, the ceiling is lined & insulated for the full length of the trailer and the walls of the horse area are lined & insulated as well. With the insulation and bright white walls & ceiling, it's a very inviting environment for your horses. Stall dividers are padded and feature easy-to-use automotive-style latches - no need to fumble with pins to get your dividers latched!

There's a collapsible rear tack that tucks neatly into the corner so you don’t have to carry panels to the barn to store them. Also, please note that there’s no post between the rear doors. With the rear tack folded, the rear opening is totally unobstructed for safe loading. There's a pair of loading lights over the rear opening, also in the interest of safe loading. The swing-out saddle rack stack may be positioned in the rear tack or in the dressing room.

And speaking of the dressing room, this is a good place to say a bit more about it. In addition to the adjustable-height saddle racks that may be located here or in the rear tack, there are 18 hooks for bridles and miscellaneous items. This dressing room has two doors. There's the expected entry door, which is lockable and has a window. It's fronted by a running board for convenient entry & exit. The second door, also lockable, offers easy passage from the DR to the horse area. The spare tire is stored neatly in the nose of the trailer, secure and out of the weather. This particular trailer comes with a second spare tire, visible in one or more of the dressing room pictures. Also visible in the dressing room is the weight distribution (WD) hitch. A WD hitch normally costs about $400 installed, so it's a nice value-add you get with this trailer.

If you comparison shop, please don’t confuse this with Shadow’s Select or Stablemate economy models. As a Pro Series, this one is lined & insulated and has an extruded aluminum plank floor to go with the aluminum frame and skin. Body width is approximately 6'9". A few years ago, Shadow went to leaf spring axles, which many consider old technology, but this one has torsion axles and recently-mounted radial tires.

We invite you to stop by and see this clean and very well equipped Shadow Pro Series slant. Private Sale on display at Traveled Lane. Asking $11,900.
